Biography
Rev. Dr. Pamela Fox, PhD, M.Div., LCSW-S

Rev. Dr. Pamela Fox is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Texas Board Approved Social Work Supervisor and is an Ordained Minister in the United Church of Christ.
Beginning in August 2021, Dr. Fox became the Associate Dean of Counseling and Psychological Services – Student Care Network/Student Wellness and Support at Dallas College, and where she was also a member of the Association of University and College Counseling Center Directors. In 2021, Dr. Fox retired as an Assistant Professor of Practice at The University of Texas at Arlington – School of Social Work, where she served on the Executive Committee, on the Culture and Climate Sub-committee, was the Diversity Studies Program Liaison, and a member of the Inter-Professional Continuing Education planning committee, regarding “Interprofessional Perspectives of the Impacts of COVID-19: A Case Study, End-of-Life Care and Moral Distress”.

She also is the Chief Empathy Officer (CEO), Business Owner and Clinical Director of the Synergy Counseling & Coaching Center and is the Clinical Director of Foxfire Outreach Ministries, where she provides individual and couples psychotherapy, mental health Counseling, pastoral counseling, transformational life coaching, and social work supervision.

Dr. Fox earned her PhD in Social Work Research from The University of Texas at Arlington – School of Social Work, a Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary, a Masters in Clinical Social Work from The University of Chicago – School of Social Service Administration, and a Bachelors in Social Work from Valparaiso University.

Rev. Dr. Fox has provided professional trainings and workshops to businesses and organizations, including the Friendship West Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas, The University of Texas at Arlington – Center for African American Studies, The Dallas-Fort Worth Association of Black Psychologists, The University of Texas at Arlington – School of Social Work and its’ African American Social Work Student Alliance, Close Up Radio/EIN Presswire, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Wallethub.com Blog, the Mutual Assistance Association for the Ethiopian Community/Young Ethiopians American Ambassadors of Richardson, Texas, and Mental Health Symposium facilitator with the St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church of Dallas, Texas.

Rev. Dr. Fox has published in professional journals and books, specializes in social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion issues and cultural sensitivity. A wife, mother, and grandmother, she is enjoying her best life with her delightful family, friends and colleagues.
