Austin is a management consulting professional with experience in data analytics, UI/UX design, and project management. He has industry experience in electric utilities, healthcare, nonprofits, and private equity. In his prior experience, Austin worked in assurance for a public accounting firm.
Austin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University with an Accounting major and a Leadership minor. While at Baylor, Austin held the position of president of the Baylor Consulting Group. He learned firsthand how consulting could positively impact the community as he initiated and led two pro-bono consulting projects for nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
Austin is passionate about serving at-risk youth and has experience serving in multiple after-school programs in Waco and Dallas. He serves as a mentor to Marcus, a 14-year-old student from the Frazier neighborhood of South Dallas. He also has served in youth ministry at his church, Watermark South Dallas.
As a creative problem solver, Austin wanted to bring the same opportunity he had to work as a consultant to the students of South Dallas. So he set out on a journey to invest in and build up the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs through hands-on learning. His vision became a reality when he met Lorna Reddicks, and they co-founded the After-School Opportunity Lab (A-SOL) in January 2022.
