I am a native Texan, having lived around the Fort Worth/Dallas Metroplex most of my life.  I graduated from Richardson High School and got my BBA at Texas State University (Southwest Texas State back then). I have worked mostly in the electronics business segment, with most of my career spent at National Semiconductor, where I worked in sales and marketing operations.  Most recently, I was the Development Manager at the Fort Worth Opera. My family also owned a truck Leasing business in Dallas and some property in Arlington.  I have two wonderful children, Melissa and Scott.  They both live here in the Metroplex, too.  I’ve lived in Fort Worth for ten years and have made many friends along the way.  I enjoy sailing and traveling, but most of my time here at home is spent working with charities and helping small businesses reach their target customer bases. I serve as the President of the Board of Directors for the Hope Center for Autism and also am a board member of Able’s Front Porch in Arlington. I am also a member of Rotary International and the Marvelous Men of Hope.
