Sergio Waldeck is a Senior Vice President at Citigroup Technology & Business Enablement in Tampa, Florida. His responsibilities includes transformation, business management, planning & analysis, and regulatory environment oversight. Prior to joining Citigroup, Sergio accumulated more than 25 years of financial management experience with some of the world’s largest financial institutions including Wells Fargo, J.P.Morgan Chase, UBS, and the United States Central Bank at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY. Sergio has committed his career to Technology Finance leading transformation in FinTech, and Finance Technology initiatives. His experience includes domestic and international assignments in Brazil, New York City, Miami/ Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, and the Dallas Fort-Worth metropolitan areas.
In addition to finance and business management, Sergio has also committed his entire career to supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives. Sergio served in a number of non-for-profit boards, including with Prospanica/ National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA), the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA), and has also led various employee diversity networks including Citigroup’s Hispanic Network, J.P. Morgan’s Adelante Hispanic network, the Federal Reserve’s African-American and Latino Association, and was the Chair of the Wells Fargo Hispanic & Latino Connections employee network for the Dallas Fort-Worth metroplex. He has also spoken for various non-profit organizations including ALPFA, Prospanica, Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), and Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancements (HACE).
Sergio earned a Bachelor’s from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge (LA) majoring in International Trade & Finance, a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Florida in Tampa (FL) with a specialization in Information Technology and International Business, and a post-graduate Certificate from St. John’s University in New York City (NY) with a specialization in Controllership.
Sergio enjoys spending his free time, reading, travelling, jogging, and spekding time with his family, wife (Camila Waldeck), his son (Andre Waldeck), and his daughter (Christina Waldeck).
