Yes! In fact, it works great!
An algorithm sorts through an individual’s reported interests and skills and matches those with nonprofits looking for similar board candidates. The system will generate a list of nonprofit board openings that are ranked to align from high to low with an individual’s identified skills and interests. A search function will allow an individual to learn more about each nonprofit and the contact person at the nonprofit.
BoardBuild does not verify the background information provided by prospective board candidates. Parties are advised to conduct their own due diligence.
Nonprofit organizations are required to provide an IRS Letter of Determination, as well as an organizational profile. Potential board candidates are advised to conduct their own due diligence as part of the matching process.
