Bio

Cathryn McClellan Kelly is a community builder, equity champion, and communication specialist. She is passionate about creating equitable opportunities for all communities regardless of their background and lived experience.

Cathryn has made her career in the space of communication and community impact. She started her career with Communities Foundation of Texas’s North Texas Giving Day team as the Marketing Specialist where she managed the overall campaign and helped over 3,000 organizations spread the word about North Texas Giving Day. From there she joined the Dallas Regional Chamber’s team to lead their Young Professional Organization. Cathryn was able to grow the program and impact building a more strategic philanthropy pillar and growing the brand reputation of the program. She now is at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, where she program manages outreach to educators teaching financial literacy and college and career readiness in majority-minority schools and diversification efforts in future talent pipelines through student-focused events.

In her spare time, she spends her time in her community as a founder member of HERitage Giving Fund, Board President of the GEMS Camp, Vice-Chair of the Leadership Arts Alumni for the Business Council for the Arts. Cathryn was also recently named Business Council for the Arts 2021 Obelisk Awards Leadership Arts Outstanding Alumnus. Cathryn has a bachelor’s degree from Hendrix College in Conway, AR, and a master’s from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. Cathryn grew up in Dallas, TX, and now lives in Plano with her husband William and their four fur babies.
