About Me

Bio

Founding President, CEO, Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Anniversary Team Inductee and award-winning athlete, Darmetreis Kilgore, brings a wealth of personal experience and knowledge to Finding Me Academy Global through his trials and achievements as a student athlete. Kilgore has two years of AAU coaching experience, one with Rod Creech’s Midwest Basketball Academy where he helped Coach McDonald’s All-American and Notre Dame Men’s Basketball standout and retired Boston Celtic Demetrius Jackson. He has also coached SMU Men’s Basketball standout Keith Frazier, and TCU Men’s Basketball standout Chris Washburn Jr. with DJH5. In 2008-2009 Darmetreis Kilgore conducted two successful basketball camps in Elkhart, Indiana through the YMCA and Elkhart Sports Center, where Hall of Fame Coach Gene Keady and Pat Magley founder of Heroes Camp came as guest speakers. Working with troubled youth and the fatherless at Heroes Camp in South Bend, Indiana from 1995-2006, gave Kilgore the passion that has sparked the FMA Global vision. As a multi-dimensional player who had the innate ability to play three different basketball positions, Kilgore was a high school McDonald’s All-American candidate, Junior College 1st Team All-American, played for Hall of Fame Coach Gene Keady at Purdue University, in addition to being selected as the teams co-captain, and an NBA Philadelphia 76ers free agent camp invitee. With the combination of these talents, Kilgore brings all facets of his experiences to FMA Global in an effort to expose student athletes to multiple levels of achievements, common pitfalls for the student athlete and the ideal skill set to get through all stages of life.
