Joe Brown is a Professor of Theatre Arts at Texas Wesleyan University where he has worked in various capacities since 1978.   He chaired Theatre Wesleyan for 22 years,  then was Dean of Freshmen for 19 years and currently is again Chair of Theatre Wesleyan.   He is involved in the Tarrant County theatre community and has served as President of the Live Theatre League of Tarrant County for various times.     He has designed and directed at various theatres in the Fort Worth community including  Jubilee Theatre, Circle Theatre,  Stage West,  Amphibian Theatre,  Artisan Theatre and Onstage Theatre.  Joe is well known on the Wesleyan campus as the animal rescue faculty.

Joe has an Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Drama from the University of Arkansas where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.    He has an MFA in Theatre Design from Southern Methodist University.   He has also be a Texas One Act Play Adjudicator for over 40 years.
