I am one of too many parents who have lost a child to the tragedy of drowning.  We lost our son Joshua in June of 2008.  We formed the Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation in August of 2008.  I am the board president of JCMF and also currently the board president of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance. (NDPA)  I believe all drownings are preventable and we need to educate children and adults that water is necessary and fun with the proper understanding of safe, diligent behavior while in around all bodies of water.
