I am the co-founder and CEO of Something Good Consulting Group. Leveraging my veteran C-suite experience at one of the largest health insurers in the country, I am delighted to join forces with my son to help organizations and their leaders build their brand with belief-driven stakeholders by aligning their business and social impact strategies.  Before starting our consulting practice, I served as vice president of strategic communications and community investment with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas where I managed the organization’s influence strategy. In this role, I led public and media relations as well as the corporate social responsibility efforts including serving as the Chair of Be Covered Texas, an award-winning, grassroots community initiative to engage and educate Texans about the health care law. The campaign reached millions of Texans through 350 community partners across all 254 counties in Texas.  Prior to my transition to BCBSTX, I spent 20 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma where I held key management positions across many areas of the organization.I am a passionate advocate for healthy communities and it is my honor to serve several non-profit organizations that I believe advance important public health and educational initiatives. I just recently concluded my service as 2020 Board Chair for Social Venture Partners Dallas, and I’m an active member of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas Women of Tocqueville. I graduated with honors from Oral Roberts University earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting and passed my certified public accountant exam shortly thereafter. I’m also a proud graduate of Leadership North Texas, sponsored by The North Texas Commission, as well as the Leading Women’s Executive Program, developed by the Corporate Leadership Center of Chicago.
