Bio

Michelle Prudhomme-Coleman, MBA, is an experienced diversity, equity, and inclusion practitioner with over 15 years of experience. She has worked in various professional contexts, including as the director of racial equity in one of Texas’s largest urban school districts. Historically, Michelle has worked in the education sector, providing thought partnership and leading-edge tools and resources to influence, support, and facilitate cultural change in policies, practices, and programs.

 

Michelle is currently the Program Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Children’s Health, where she works with senior leadership to develop and ensure implementation of the DE&I strategy across the enterprise. She has multi-level comprehensive training in Cultural Intelligence (CQ), a globally recognized way of assessing and improving effectiveness in culturally diverse situations. Additionally, Michelle is a skilled facilitator in alternative frameworks, including restorative justice principles and models. She also has expertise in executive coaching and conflict resolution using positive psychology techniques through her unique training at the Coaching and Positive Psychology (CaPP) Institute.

 

Michelle’s top strengths include dominant Strategic Thinking themes, which help teams consider what can be. Themes include Intellection, Learner, Deliberative, Analytical, and Input. She has been named Diversity MBA Magazine’s Top 100 Emerging Leaders and is an OpEd Public Voices fellow.

 

Michelle was born in Los Angeles, California, and has lived in Missouri and Louisiana. She is passionate about traveling abroad. Michelle is an active member and trained volunteer of the Junior League of Dallas. She is also a FINRA Dispute Resolution Services Arbitrator, an Emerging Leader Acceleration Program mentor to seven emerging leaders at Children’s Health, and a professional communication course instructor at The University of Texas at Dallas. She is a lifelong learner and seeks opportunities to leverage and supplement her existing skills. Michelle is an alum of the T. Boone Pickens Leadership Institute.
